Someone Like Food

This parody is based on a throw away 30 Rock comment.

I heard, that you're settled down
But I’ve found a grill and there’s ribs marinating now

I heard, that your dreams came true
Guess she gave you things
I rather have things to chew

Old friend, why are you so shy
Ain't like you to hold back
Or hide me from the pie

I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited but I
Couldn't stay away I couldn't fight it
I had hoped you'd feed my face
And that you be reminded that for me lunch isn't over

Never mind, I'll find someone like food
I wish nothing but a buffet for me too, don't forget me
I beg, and remember you’ll pay
Sometimes it’s pastas I love
But sometimes it’s desserts instead
Sometimes it’s pastas I love
But sometimes it’s desserts instead yeah

Till next time in Waseem world.

Five Best Movie Villains

It has been a while since I blogged. I guess the novelty has worn out for most of us. However, recently I saw something comparing a villain to a very elite league of villains, which made me want to watch the movie, just to see how correct the comparison was. I watched the movie, and the residual effect of that is that I'm writing this post. I've avoided the standard Darth Vaders and Hannibal Lecters, as to be honest, they were not all that fearsome. I haven't seen Red Dragon or Hannibal however, so maybe I stand to corrected on Hannibal.

My top 5 in reverse chronological order are:-

5. Pennywise - It
I'm not really sure how this movie has stood up to the test of time. All I remember is that for a few weeks after I watched the miniseries I was having nightmares about evil clowns, and kept well away from anything resembling a storm drain.

4. Kayako - The Grudge
There is no movie in recent times that has scared the hell out of me as much as this one. The Ring was perhaps similar, but not as bone chillingly scary. The scariest and most enduring part of the movie has to be the scene she sees Kayako's reflection in the bus window.

3. Anton Chigurh - No Country For Old Men
The man behind the writing of this post. I watched this movie yesterday and was so amazed at the workings of this sociopath. A man who betrays no emotion at any point, and only has a steely determination to his objective.

2. Colonel Hans Landa - Inglourious Basterds
I cannot imagine a more perfect person to have played Hans Landa than Christopher Waltz, and I had never heard of him till Inglourious Basterds. Michael Fassbender may have come out of the movie a superstar, but his performance doesn't hold a candle to Christopher Waltz's.

1. Joker - Batman
To me Joker is the best villain of all time, not just Heath Ledger in Dark Knight but in all his incarnations. I read somewhere that after Jack Nicholson played The Joker in the first Batman, every other Batman movie had to have  two villains to compare in villainy.
